SoftClan e-cryptor
- (Shareware)
SoftClan e-cryptor uses the powerful AES encryption algorithm and can be used for the quick and easy sending of encrypted e-mails that need nothing but the password for decryption. In addition, you can encrypt sensitive files and folders on your hard drive or removable media, as well as Back-up files.
Articsoft FileAssurity
- (Shareware)
Articsoft FileAssurity allows you to encrypt and digitally sign your files, folders and e-mails. You can then exchange those files with other people or send them by e-mail. The receiver can then use the free FileAssurity viewer in order to decrypt the files. In addition, FileAssurity offers the secure deletion of your files by US Government DOD standards, creates secure ZIP archives and does much more. The program is Java based, all support files are included in the package.
Fortress Mail
- (Shareware)
Fortress Mail allows you to encrypt your outgoing e-mail messages. It uses your existing e-mail program (such as Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora) via MAPI to send and receive encrypted messages and attachments. Fortress Mail uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and HS1. The program is fairly simple to use and provides a very basic interface. The receiver of the encrypted messages must have the valid password and also a copy of Fortess Mail installed in order to decrypt the messages.
Top Secret Crypto Gold
- (Shareware)
Top Secret Crypto, a file and e-mail encryption program, maintains communications privacy over the Internet. It incorporates RSA public key cryptography, conducts tests on your encrypted files to see how well the encryption algorithm works.
HotCrypt
- (Shareware)
HotCrypt secures your e-mail messages using the Blowfish algorithm. You edit or view a message with your e-mail program as usual - and press a "hotkey" to encrypt or decrypt the message. HotCrypt also features support for multiple users with individual login authorization and an internal password management system. Additional features include PCtoPC encryption (encryption with hardware identification) and file encryption.
iOpus Secure Email Attachments
- (Freeware) allows you to create secure e-mail attachments that can be opened by the recipient without the need to install any software. The program creates self-decrypting EXE attachments, that can contain one or more files, and protects them with a password. All the recipient has got to do is enter the correct password, and the protected files will be extracted. The program compresses the files, which adds the additional benefit of creating not only secure but also smaller attachments. iOpus SEA uses the Blowfish encryption algorithm with a key length of up to 448 bits.
ClipSecure
- (Freeware) ClipSecure is a simple, secure text encryption utility that uses the Windows clipboard, and, therefore, can be used with any text-based programs like e-mail clients, word processors, etc. It uses the AES (Rijndael), Blowfish, Cast256, Mars, RC6, Serpent and Twofish encryption standards to provide maximum security! You can encrypt and decrypt text using a keyboard hotkey or manually from the tray icon.
Crypto Anywhere
- (Freeware) Crypto Anywhere is a secure, portable e-mail program that is small enough to fit on a single floppy or USB key chain drive. It allows you to send secure e-mail messages from anywhere, without the need to install any software. The program offers the choice of self-decrypting messages (the receiver only needs the password) or public key encryption (the receiver needs decryption software). Crypto Anywhere implements encryption algorithms based on RSA public key encryption, the Twofish block cipher and the ISAAC random number generator.
SecExMail Home
- (Freeware) SecExMail is a transparent e-mail encryption system that integrates with your favorite e-mail program (Outlook, Outlook Express, The Bat, Poco, etc.). It runs as a virtual POP3/SMTP server that encrypts and decrypts messages in real-time as they are sent or received by your e-mail program. SecExMail uses RSA public key encryption and the Twofish block cipher to securely protect your privacy.
PGP Freeware (Pretty Good Privacy)
- (Freeware) The standard in encryption. PGP, or Pretty Good Privacy, is a powerful cryptographic software suite that enables people to exchange messages securely, and to secure files, disk volumes, and network connections with both strong privacy and authentication.
